Home Based Care

Education in this sprawling slum is in such a state, with the high population in the area majority of whom are of school going age bracket, are served with only three public primary schools, which are overstretched and cannot accommodate even half of the pupils. This has resulted to the sprouting of private non formal schools- which are badly constructed and lack the basics of what constitutes a school. The teaching staffs are unqualified. To make it worse since the government rates such school as non-formal, they do not benefit from the free primary education program.
